Donation protected

Hi Guys, James & Andi Havens here! Its time for our annual Alaska Paleo-Project Fundraising event! This years project we will be focusing on Alaska's official state fossil - the WOOLLY MAMMOTH.

We are working with a team of UAF scientists as we uncover a new discovery. Our job is to recreate this beast with hands-on oil paint, clay and perserverance. As with all the Alaska Paleo-Projects - we will be inviting you - the public - to particiapate in the process! We have talks, classes and events schedueled and its going to be an exciting ride!

We are currently seeking sponsors, donors and individuals and anyone else that might want to jump on board as we gear up for the 2020 Alaska Paleo-Project mammoth project. It is our hope that our annual public art meets science outreach will  inspire the next Michealangelo or globe trotting paleontologist.

We thank you for all your encouragement and positive support as we once again embark on this new adventure. Grab your pack, brushed and rain gear - bus leaves next week! Thank you for you donations to help get us there - Cheers!

WHAT IS THE ALASKA PALEO-PROJECT?
Founded in 2010 - "The Alaska Paleo-Project" is a education annual public exhibition of works in progress by Alaskan artists James & Andi Havens. Painted on location and in large public venues.

We will take you on a full steam - on location wilderness adventure to unravel the mystery!

We will bring it all back into the studio and create a hands on large scale reconstruction

This event features the flora and fauna of ancient Alaska and is designed to help raise public awareness of Alaska’s fantastic paleontological past, foster new knowledge of subject and encourage public participation in the hands on processes of creating a large scale piece of original art.

This event is also designed to celebrate Alaska’s dedicated professionals that continue the mission of bringing Alaska ancient past to life and the many wonderful local museums. Scientists, museum staff, and paleontologists are to speak in relation to the project as they develop.

Your donations will directly assist my team and I in continuing and completing our very important work. We look forward to continuing to bring you world class exhibits -  where fine art meets new science in an open public forum. I thank you for your support over these many years. It has meant so very much and we have cherish every moment we have shared in classrooms, public spaces and schools across Alaska.  Stay safe, wash those hands and we will see you soon! We thank you for your donations and positive support. - Cheers!
