Alaska Oilers going to Nationals!

The Oilers U15AAA team is comprised of players from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla, Eagle River and the Kenai Peninsula. They have competed this season at the highest level of youth hockey in the US. As members of the NAPHL, the team was the regular season champions in the 15U division with a 12-1 record. They also participated in tournaments in Burnaby, BC; Detroit, MI; and Victoria BC. Last weekend, our boys won the Pacific District Regional Tournament in San Jose, CA and earned their spot to the USA Hockey National Tournament in Plymouth, MI held April 5-10.
Currently ranked 14 in the nation, the team strives to develop an elite level team that promotes life lessons including teamwork, respect and community involvement. Our boys have spent over 100 hours collectively volunteering in our communities including selling raffle tickets, providing dessert and entertainment at our November fundraiser and spending the day at Beans Café in Anchorage. Academic excellence and commitment is expected by both coaches and parents and our boys have not disappointed, our team GPA is over 3.5.
Many of our family and friends have supported this group throughout the season by buying raffle tickets and attending our event and we THANK YOU!
This fund is another way our family and friends can help our boys prepare as the sole Tier 1 Alaska team at the biggest tournament of the year. We have set a goal of $7500 to offset hotel and meal costs for the team. Please consider a donation to help this special group of young men represent Alaska hockey at the nation's premier tournament.
