Alan Dismuke Home Care Fund

Donation protected
My brother, Alan Dismuke, survived a hypertensive hemorrhagic stroke on July 15th leaving his left side compromised.  He was discharged from a rehabilitation facilitiy in Vallejo, California on Wednesday, August 30 and is in need of 24 hour care while he continues his therapy at home.

Alan spent his adult life working in the arts community.  He lost his job in 2008 when the economy tanked and arts funding was dramatically reduced.  He's been managing to make ends meet economically while also coping with disabling rheumatoid arthritis.

The funds will be utilized to help cover the $2,000 per week cost of home care which is not provided by his Medicare coverage and the approximately $10,000 needed to renovate his home to accommodate his disabilities.  We are attempting to get him approved for MediCal assistance which may cover some of his home care expenses, however, he has been discharged and currently has no way to cover these expenses.

Your help would allow Alan to continue to recover and relieve some of the financial worries that worsen his situation.  Please help my brother to be able to recover and thrive without the burden of overwhelming debt.

Thank you and bless you,
Linda Dismuke Scheanwald
