Alandria Cantu’s Medical and Rehabilitation Cost

Alandria is a 24-year-old Corpus Christi native who graduated from W.B. Ray High School in the year 2016, and furthered her education and graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Alandria graduated Cum Laude in her class while also obtaining the prestigious honor of being placed on the university’s Dean’s list. Alandria was also a substitute teacher at Baker Middle School. They enjoyed her work ethic so much, they hired her for the entire school year! Alandria loves her job so much, but decided it was time to work on furthering her education by working on her master's next. She is a loving, generous and adventurous young woman who also adores her family, friends and pets dearly and still has so much of life to enjoy. On Saturday, July 3rd, she was admitted to the hospital after vomiting and seizing, which eventually led to a severe stroke and aneurysm. As of now, she has been diagnosed with locked-in syndrome. We are communicating with her day by day with her eyes being the focal point of communication. Alandria has a long journey ahead of her, a long fight, but if you know Alandria you know that she is built to fight and succeed at anything that comes her way. If anyone can overcome this adversity, it is Alandria. We have already begun to conduct research and given Alandria’s age it is not uncommon for her to make significant progress. That being said, it would mean the world if anyone who comes across this account would donate whatever is possible to help Alandria. She still has dreams to chase and fulfill her goals of one day being a doctor, or whatever life decides to place her. She is loved dearly by her siblings, parents, family and friends. These donations would go straight to Alandria’s mother Elda Huerta to cover any costs. I'd be deeply appreciated “Nevertheless, she persisted.”
