Alana's Operafestival Di Roma Trip

Hello there! My name is Alana Miller and I am very pleased to tell everyone that will be performing in Operafestival di Roma's Le nozze di Figaro and Suor Angelica operas this summer in Rome and Orvieto, Italy which is very exciting! I have been chosen to perform the role of La Zelatrice in Suor Angelica as well as the cover role of Cherubino, the mezzo lead, in Le nozze de Figaro.
This is a very prestigious opportunity since only 50 that audition are accepted from all over the country. This trip will also benefit me by giving me performance experience, which will only help my future career since I am working toward my Music Education and Vocal Performance degrees in college! The program lasts from May 27th to June 22nd and while I am there, I will participate in music rehearsals, role coaching, and individual voice lessons as well as participate in master classes, a vocal diction course, and a conversational Italian course. A trip like this could be a real ground-breaker for me!
The tuition total is $4,735 after the Louisa Panou tuition waiver I received. $2000 is estimated for airfare and $1,500 for additional meals and other expenses that are not covered by the program. The $500 deposit to secure my roles has already been sent in!
