Aloha Everyone!
In case you haven't already heard, Alana and I will be traveling abroad for an extended backpacking trip through Southeast Asia. We plan to embark on our journey of a lifetime in March for about 6 months (if we can make it that long!) from San Francisco.
Where are we going?
SF "“ Indonesia/Bali "“ Thailand "“ Philippines "“ Taiwan - Japan. Outside of our main destinations we also hope to visit Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos and anywhere else the wind will take us.
Why?
Travel has always been a dream of ours and we both agree what better time to do it then now! We have a passion for life and crave new experiences to teach us more about the world and about ourselves. We are ready (or as ready as we can be) for the many new events that will push us outside our comfort zone.
Our goals for the trip are:
1) To learn about other cultures first hand
2) To gain a deeper understanding of ourselves in search of our true passions in life
3) To volunteer abroad
4) And most importantly, to be away from home for 6 months together without killing each other (jk)
All the donations collected through this fundraising site will go towards our trip and everything it takes to make it possible including but not limited to: plane tickets, vaccinations, backpacks, visas, anti-diarrhea pills (yikes!), etc.
We are excited, scared, nervous, anxious and everything in between: but we are comforted in knowing that we have so much support from our family and friends.
