Alan Worthington Legacy Fund

For over 35 years, Janet Way has dedicated her life serving her community, her children including new grandbaby, Ivey, and her husband of 40 years, Alan Worthington.   But Alan’s sudden death has left Janet with not only a huge hole in her heart, but an enormous financial burden.  Both Alan and Janet were working long hours to make ends meet; now Janet bears the weight alone.

Imagine coming home after a full day working on your feet to find your only love and lifetime companion on the floor, unresponsive.  That’s what happened on April 4th, 2018, when Alan was making dinner for the couple and fell, hitting his head on hard counter top.

Because both Janet and Alan prioritized contributing to others over financial abundance, and Alan had no life insurance to offset the funeral costs or help get Janet through such a tragic period.

The funds raised will cover the high costs of  the funeral and other details related to laying Alan to rest.

Contributions are also dedicated to providing Janet with six months of financial assistance to help offset skyrocketing property taxes, a mortgage, car repairs and other basic living expenses, so she can focus on making plans to deal with a future she never expected.   This is a massive undertaking on its own,  but it's unimaginable to tackle enduring one of life's most painful experiences.  Alan was more than Janet's husband and best friend, he part of her day almost every single day for the past forty years .
