The Alan Louis Sposito Memorial Scholarship will be awarded yearly to a high school graduate pursuing a career as a first responder or medical professional.
Alan served from 1972 to 1998 as a firefighter in Ashtabula, Ohio. This scholarship will help students defray the cost of education while honoring a wonderful man who dedicated his life to the service of others.
He passed peacefully on June 9 after a long battle with Covid-19.
Contributions can also be made to the Sposito Family and sent to Gurerriero Funeral Home (1550 W. 19th St. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004).
