Alan Hood Memorial Fund
Alan Hood was known for his sense of humor, can-do attitude and his constant willingness to help others. He was a loving husband, father and friend, an active church goer, and a talented cook. Some of you will remember Alan for his years of service at Tanyard Country Club.
Alan tragically died October 23 while on his way home from caring for his aging mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's. Alan's wife Sarah and their four daughters will continue for now as her primary caretakers.
Alan was the primary provider so Sarah will have many bills to take care of in the next while and could use some help. That's where we come in. You might know Sarah. You may even have seen her smiling face at the library help desk, or around the pool at swim team. You might know her and the girls from homeschooling groups or music lessons.
Currently some of Alan and Sarah's friends are seeing to car repairs and household needs, meals, help with the kids, etc. Please consider donating to the Alan Hood Memorial Fund for Sarah and the girls. There will be final arrangements to take care of, care and upkeep of the house, regular household bills such as electricity, food, clothing, etc.
Alan was the kind of man that would give you his shirt if you needed it. Let's repay his years of selfless kindness by giving generously to his family in their time of need.
