Allen Hannah's Expenses

I am struggling with my words as I am emotionally distraught and fatigued. Our daddy fought a hard battle with cancer and went peacefully to be with Jesus. He was originally diagnosed with esophageal cancer and underwent chemo and surgery to remove the issue. We were optimistic and thought all was well and removed successfully until the end of June when he had an abscess around his stomach tube site. Said abscess turn out to be a result of a hole in his stomach lining. This hole was viciously feeding the cancer and creating a plethora of bacterial infections. The hole was daddy’s true nemesis, they tried multiple experimental surgeries to fix it with no avail. The doctors and daddy fought a hard battle against the cancer with a strong and terrible chemo cocktail and they tried to fight the infections with an antibiotic cocktail. Sadly, the stomach cancer metastasized and spread back to daddy’s esophagus and into his kidneys. When we heard this news on Friday afternoon, our hearts stopped. We had to share the news with daddy and allow him to decide his course of action from there. He decided to allow God to take over for the doctors and only remain on pain medication. He passed within 12 hours of making this decision. He was ready to see his daddy, his rainbow babies (he specifically mentioned a baby girl), Kolton, and many other family members. He listened to Mercy Me’s “I Can Only Imagine” on repeat until he took his last breath. This is the only comfort I have in this time of loss for my family; knowing daddy wanted this to come quickly and knowing that he was so excited to meet Jesus and stare into his face.

As many know cancer is astronomically expensive and funeral expense are not much cheaper. With that being said, daddy doesn’t have any money for us and all of this has been left on the shoulders of us children. We are all trying to make ends meet in our own households and now we are being faced with thousands and thousands in expenses. Please assist in any way possible. Anything will be more than greatly appreciated and used frugally. Thank you so very much, it truly means more than you could ever know. God bless you and thank you for loving our daddy and making his life happy!
