Al & Bex's Farm Fund

If you know either of us, or us the pair, you've likely picked up on our wildly romantic nature. Indeed, our vision of a future together involved farming from the start. As our wedding approaches, and our relocation to Washington settles in, we realized that, due to downsizing into bus life, we do not have the capacity for traditional gifts. However, as we have both experienced the joy of giving as well as the powerful effects of community support, we opted to set up this fund as an option for our guests (though you are gift enough) and beyond. 

After and exhaustive and emotional search for our place in Washington, we headed to Mt Rainier in search of clarity and stumbled into the tiny town of Packwood. There we were met with unsurpassed natural beauty, local warmth, a strong community, and potential for our future. It is an economy at the start of its rebound, rich with affordable land, expanding markets, and new opportunities. Our dream and intention here is to start our farm - a place where we can contribute to both this local community and to the greater one that has supported us thus far both as individuals and together. We want to start with cut flowers, quickly diversify into sheep, and follow up with an orchard as growth allows. 

We want this place to be a space that supports local food security and nutrition, but also feeds you, our community. We want to see you and your kids there, playing in the flowers and with the sheep. We want our families and friends to come find sanctuary there when retreat is needed. We want it to be a place that gives back and fills souls. 

This fund is the seed. 
We are working hard to establish ourselves here. 
We cannot wait to see how we grow.
