This Girl's Improv Acting Adventure

Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you might know the big one already came and went – I’m 30.
In case you didn't know - I moved to Los Angeles March 2014 in hopes of pursuing something that I love doing but also scares me – Acting and specifically Improv. It’s been an amazing ALMOST SIX months so far (Sep 2). I have had the chance to take classes at The Groundlings, The Nerdist, Second City, and Upright Citizens Brigade. And I am just as much in love and afraid of this passion as I was before I left the comfort of Dallas.
As this journey continues I have learned how much it takes to even take a stab at pursuing acting. Beyond the increased cost of living in Los Angeles, there are also classes, headshots, union dues (SAG/AFTRA – one day I will join this…) and more.
What I am proposing is that if you were thinking, “Damn, I missed Rachel's birthday. I was going to buy her (a drink, dinner, a donut)…” I have a humble request – please contribute to funding this effort. Every dollar helps and you would have the chance to say “I helped that girl when she was a poor, lost, nobody!” (which odds are I will continue to be)! Seriously though, I would be forever grateful for any support. I love you all.

PS If you are wondering where I got the figure for the goal here is a break down: ***Good news - I am now an intern at Second City, so all my classes there are FREE!!!
UCB Level 301 - $400, Level 401 - $400, Advanced Study - $400
Groundlings - Intermediate $510, Advanced $510
Nerdist - Level 2 - $350, 3 - $350, 4 - $350
Did not even add to the goal iO (another improv theater I want to take classes at!!! It has 7 levels, each one $350 - so $2450 yikes!)
** Note: I do not know if I will get to take all these classes, but if I could I would love to! All this adds up to $3,270 Not to mention there are still auditioning classes, scene study classes and workshops.
*** I know what you are thinking and the answer is yes, you should open an improv theater - they are making a killing.
