<div>Since birth, AJ has battled a rare condition affecting his left leg. His journey began when he was only **3 months old**, undergoing his first of many surgeries to try to correct his leg’s development. Over the years, he and his family have endured countless procedures, therapies, and setbacks — always holding on to hope that one day he’d be able to walk and play without pain.

<div>After multiple attempts to correct the original birth defects, AJ’s medical team has determined that the best path forward is a **below-the-knee amputation**, scheduled for **February 17, 2026**. While this is a life-changing decision, it also brings the promise of a brighter, more independent future for AJ — one where he can move freely and live without constant discomfort.

<div>This next step in AJ’s journey will involve **extensive recovery, physical therapy, and emotional support** from his loving parents, family, and friends. Unfortunately, the costs that come with this surgery — including medical bills, prosthetics, rehabilitation, travel, and time away from work — are far beyond what the family can manage alone.
