World Challenge
I am raising money for...My World Challenge fund which takes place in June 2012. The Challenge costs £4105 and i have managed to raise £2000 already through working 2 jobs, sponsered cycles & silence, craft fayres and anagrams but now need to raise as much as i can quickly so i can complete the final payment before my exams start in March. My group is travelling to Bolivia and the programme we are embarking on is designed to develop life skills that you can use when applying for University, employment or training. e.g.
- Communication Skills
- Teamwork & Leadership
- Enterprise & Money Management
- Personal presentation
The acclimatisation treks will take us through some of Bolivia's beautiful lakes and national parks as well as allowing us to see the country's rural villages.
Trekking
Out team will complete a high altitude trek along the ancient Inca Trails.
Projects
The projects phase in Bolivia will be completing basic construction work at a local orphanage.
Rest and Relaxation
After a fairly exhausting itinerary there will be a number of activities which will allow teams to witness some of Bolivia's more unusual sights. For example, from Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, discover Isla del Sol (the Island of the Sun), which is where the Incas believe their empire originated and opportunity to visit the Salar de Uyuni (Salt Flats) with its vast eerie landscape and unique flora and fauna.
The money raised go towards funding flights and in country costs, Emergency backup whilst in country, Insurance, all training and preparation.
Please donate and spread the word through your friends, family and work collegues and if possible your place of work were your company may wish to sponsor me.
Thank You all for spending the time on reading this.
