Eli White QTPOC (Black, Trans) Top Surgery Fund

Hi! I'm Elijah (AJ) White! I'm a Black, Trans 22 year old student studying Music Business at Wayne State University and I've lived in Detroit all my life. Working with my vocal instructor, Caitlin Lynch,  has helped open my eyes to the possibility of living my life as my truest self in a family that isn't the most supportive of my queerness. She and many others have been influential in my transition.

Now, I've been on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for about a half year and while I am ready for top surgery, I lack the necessary funds. Between classes, other medical bills, and car maintenance, I'm not sure how soon I could get top surgery and the thought of waiting any longer at the rate I'm making money at my two part-time jobs is very distressing.

From my research, I've gathered that Dr. Wolf charges $6400 for a run-of-the-mill Double Incision, $5900 without nipple grafts. As mentioned above, as of right now I don't have the funds or even the means to start a top surgery savings account but I hope that with the grace and generosity of those who donate funds or share this page, I can receive this very necessary gender-affirming procedure.
