Medical & Living Expenses For Dana

My friend Dana Gagnon is a forty-four year old man with a beautiful daughter named Jenna, who lives with her mother in a nearby state.
In 2012, Dana moved back to New Hampshire to help care for his ailing mother. Dana learned a lot about the man he wanted to be, by watching his step-father Eugene's love and unwavering strength, while caring for his beloved wife Diane, Dana's mother. Diane passed away on June 17, 2013.
Shortly after moving home, Dana became employed at Lowe's Home Improvement, to pay for his living expenses. Since his mother's passing, Dana has stayed living with his step-dad, helping to pay expenses and helping with the care and upkeep of the home and grounds, which has become increasingly difficult for Eugene at his age and while he deals with restrictions because of his own health issues.
On April 6, 2014, while at work, Dana started to have unbearable pain in his left kidney, which forced him to leave work and go to the emergency room. He was treated with the initial belief that it was kidney stones and sent home with an order to have a CAT Scan on April 9th., The Monday after the CAT scan, he was asked to come into his doctors office, and was told that the results were not good, and he needed to go for a liver biopsy. He was then instructed to get a second biopsy which showed that previously seen lesions had grown much larger. He was admitted to Portsmouth Hospital for further testing which revealed multiple issues, including abnormal blood test results, and blood clots in his leg, arms, and lung. They transferred him to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where further testing confirmed that he had cancer. He was released from BWH on April 25th. A schedules PET Scan revealed that he has Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer which had spread to his liver, bones, and at least a couple of lymph nodes.
Stage 4 Metastasized Pancreatic Cancer is a terminal cancer requiring life long intense chemotherapy to help minimize the pain and prolong life, which Dana is receiving. Dana's doctor's told him he has a 25% chance of living past 1 year, and only a 1% chance of living 5 years.
The cancer, and side effects from the chemo, has left Dana unable to work among many other things. His disability income is minimal and he now struggles with his bills, and has trouble paying for basic necessities as well as his additional medical expenses. Along with the additional expenses it has become more difficult to maintain his car payment and insurance costs
so he is able to get to doctor's appointments, chemotherapy, and what's most important to him, gives him the ability to see his daughter Jenna. This has become extremely hard to manage.
I am asking you, his family, friends, co-workers, or anyone who reads this to please open your hearts and donate whatever you are able to; no amount is too small, to help my friend Dana. My reason for doing this is I hope with your support we can help Dana with his medical and living expenses which will lessen his stress, so he can enjoy life and the time he has left with is daughter.
