Ciao e benvenuto nella mia campagna di crowdfunding!

Sono Andrea Ferrari, un trainer subacqueo italiano, fotografo e videomaker con un particolare interesse per la conservazione dell'ambiente e delle specie viventi.

Sono cresciuto nel diving center di famiglia nel Sud Italia e questo mi ha dato l'opportunità di iniziare ad immergermi e di capire l'importanza della conservazione già in giovane età.

Questo background mi ha portato a lavorare in posti come il Mar Rosso, le Maldive, il Mar Mediterraneo ed il Madagascar, maturando una grande esperienza subacquea.

Ora vivo a Nosy Sakatia, in Madagascar, e sto dedicando tutti i miei sforzi per un progetto per la conservazione delle tartarughe marine e per aiutare la comunità locale a creare un'area marina protetta intorno a Sakatia e che sia gestita a livello locale.

 

Il 2021 è stato un anno particolare, di cambiamenti, rinunce, scelte difficili, ma è stato anche un anno di gioia, crescita, e soprattutto pieno di scoperte ed incontri meravigliosi!

Durante questo 2021, primo anno passato in Madagascar, povero di turisti e viaggiatori, ho avuto l'onore di lavorare/collaborare con persone che mai avrei immaginato: loro mi hanno spronato ad impegnarmi sempre di più, a migliorare, a non mollare, a non sottovalutarmi ed a riconoscere le mie capacità e competenze.

Ed è proprio grazie a queste persone ed a queste esperienze trascorse nel 2021 che ho avuto modo di pensare e di comprendere cosa veramente mi appassiona, qual è la strada/percorso che voglio seguire e quali sono i miei obiettivi per il futuro...

Molti di voi mi conoscono perché guidati da me durante un'immersione, o perché vi ho insegnato ad andare sott'acqua, altri perché mi hanno visto crescere in un diving center in Salento.

Qualunque sia il motivo per cui ci conosciamo, tutti saprete sicuramente che la subacquea è stata ed è tutt'ora parte predominante della mia vita, e molti di voi sapranno anche che ormai da anni c'è un'altra passione che mi accompagna ogni giorno, quella della fotografia e della creazione di video.

Ed è proprio qui che tutto si riconnette, che prende forma...

In questo 2021 appena passato, ho avuto modo di mettere un piede, toccare con mano e di comprendere quello che ho deciso sarà davvero il mio futuro: immortalare non solo le meraviglie del mondo e degli oceani, ma anche e soprattutto le sue ingiustizie, quelle lontane alla vista di tutti.

Per fare ciò, ho però bisogno del vostro aiuto ed è per questo che ho deciso di aprire una campagna di crowdfunding, per riuscire a raggiungere il primo obiettivo della mia carriera: avere tutta l'attrezzatura necessaria per poter fotografare e filmare al meglio sopra, ma in particolare sotto l'acqua.

 

Ogni minima donazione può fare la differenza, e anche se non riuscite a donare, la sola condivisione del crowdfunding sarà di grande aiuto.

Hello, and welcome to my crowdfunding campaign!


I am Andrea Ferrari, an Italian scuba diving instructor trainer, photographer, and videomaker with a special interest in environmental and wildlife conservation.
I grew up in the diving center of my family in Southern Italy and this gave me the opportunity to start diving and understanding the importance of conservation already at a young age.
This background brought me to work in places like the Red Sea, Maldives, Mediterranean Sea, and Madagascar, gaining a great diving experience.
I am now based in Nosy Sakatia, Madagascar, and I am putting all my efforts into a project for sea turtles' conservation and helping the local community in creating a locally managed marine protected area around Sakatia.
 
2021 was a peculiar year, full of changes, privation, difficult choices, but also a year of joy, growth, and above all full of discoveries and wonderful encounters!
During this 2021, the first year spent in Madagascar, poor in tourists and travelers, I had the honor of working/collaborating with people I would have never imagined: they have encouraged me to commit myself more and more, to improve, not to give up, not to underestimate myself and to recognize my skills and competences.
And it is thanks to these people and the experiences of 2021 that I was able to think and understand what I'm really passionate about, what is the way I want to follow, and what are my goals for the future...
Many of you know me because I was their guide during a dive, or since I taught them to go underwater, others because they saw me growing up in a diving center in Salento.
Whatever the reason we know each other is, you all surely know that diving has been and is still a predominant part of my life, and many of you will also know that for years there has been another passion that accompanies me every day: photography and video-making.
And it is exactly here that everything reconnects, and takes its shape...
In this 2021 that has just ended, I was able to step in, touch, and understand what I have really decided my future will be: to immortalize not only the wonders of the world and the oceans, but also and above all its injustices, those far away from everyone's sight.
To do this, however, I need your help and that's why I decided to open a crowdfunding campaign: to be able to reach the first goal of my career, that is to have all the equipment to photograph and film in the best way possible on land, but particularly underwater.
 
Every little donation can make a difference, and even if you will not donate, just sharing the crowdfunding will be of great help.
