Hello family and friends!
I am writing on behalf of Chris and Angelique Airington. I have known Angelique for nearly 20 years now. And I've now known Chris for at least half of that time. In 2006, I was able to witness their union as I stood at the altar next to them and cried as they said their vows. They both held the same dreams that many of us have; to love, to be loved and to start a family.
I won't share all of the gory details, but will say this: they have been unable to fulfill this dream as of yet. They are unable to conceive a child. They have had a tough time. They have tried over 3 years without success. They have been to the doctors and found some problems. FIXABLE problems. There is HOPE. There are some procedures that will help them. However, these are some expensive procedures! They really need upwards of $30,000. Again, there is HOPE. With the love and support of their family and friends, I know we can come together to help carry the load.
For those who do not already know, Angelique is an accomplished photographer. Photographing families, from weddings, maternity, newborn, to senior portraits and senior couples! Angelique is one of my best friends. She is someone I call with my good news and with my problems, whether it deals with relationships, cooking, sewing or technical help. She is who I call when I need someone to pray for me. Her spiritual guidance is always uplifting. She is also "Auntie" to my children. Even though she moved to Colorado years ago, she has managed to continue having a very special relationship with my kids. It means so much.
Chris is a skilled and successful chef. I have had the great privilege of eating food prepared by him. Ridiculously delicious is the best description. And, because Angelique has given him a run for his money in this department, they have TWO great cooks in their house!
Chris is a warm and gentle soul. He's a family man. He will be such a proud and loving father. I cannot wait for this dream to come true for him. To know how much it will mean to him. Not only to have a child, but to have this experience with his bride, Angelique. And Angelique will be such a loving, accepting and dedicated mother. I can't wait for the day she holds her child in her arms. It will be the absolute cure for her ache. Above all, I cannot wait to be the most awesome Auntie to their children! :)
You should also know that Chris and Angelique have two dogs, Avie and Asher. They have fostered many dogs until they found loving homes for each of them. Their compassion is endless, shown by making these dogs and families happy and whole.
There are people in this world who are so deserving of parenthood. These two people are a great example of that. The road to get there is not the same for everyone. This is their journey:. For whatever reason. What is usually a very private journey has just become OUR journey. They may be too proud to ask for help, but have agreed to let me help share their story. Please help!
And don't stop praying! Your prayers are appreciated. We will continue to pray together. This is just the next step. Please donate as much as you can to this worthwhile fund.
