<div>Katie McCrary, secret hero, has spent upwards of the last 4 years diligently sorting and returning "student" files accrued during their institutionalized tenure at AIR. Contents often include copies of personal identifiers (SS cards, Birth Certificates, etc.) Statement of Facts, personal Reflections, intake documents, content sent from family to the child that was withheld, academic records, etc.)

<div>Katie started with approximately 1700 files, and has since returned several hundred to their rightful owners. Katie's time, money, sweat and tears have been a critical element in the restoration of memories, and the invaluable understanding of the corrupt puppeteering behind our time in the program, both of which have enabled an integral piece of the healing journey to begin for so many of us.

<div>Katie has routinely spent her own limited funds on postal services and transportation in order to return files, (approximately $10 - $15 per file) and has never required payment from recipients to do so. Out of the kindness of her heart, she has also supported individuals that she found to be in dire financial distress, after learning about their conditions through her correspondence with them during file return.
</div>
<div>Most recently, Katie invested in month 1 of a storage unit ($93 for month 1 &amp; 2, $180 for months 3 and on) in order to more sustainably house the files and protect their condition from further wear.
