Aiono/Faiva Funeral Fundraiser

Donation protected
In an effort to celebrate the life of my very best friend, Eileen Aiono Faiva, I am creating this campaign. All donations will go directly to her two sons to help with the costs of her memorial services.

Eileen has been my best friend for almost 30 years, and from the time I’ve known her, she has always had heart issues that disqualified her from health or life insurance. She has been through five open heart surgeries, multiple valve replacements, countless hospital stays, and has spent her life taking care of her body so she could live a full life with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She would never act like she was sick and with her larger-than-life personality, you would never know unless you asked.

Even with all of this, when her husband Arona had a stroke and required full time care in 2016, Eileen set her own trials aside to be there, day in and day out for him. She visited him in his care facility every day for hours on end and took care of him selflessly and tirelessly without fail.

Because of her many health issues and pre-existing conditions, Eileen was unfortunately, never able to qualify for life insurance. This puts a huge financial burden on her family and I’m starting this campaign to ask for your help.

She has fought so hard for so many years to be around for her family, and she used to always tell me that she never thought she would live long enough to see her boys grow up, graduate high school, serve missions, get married or see her grandchildren born. She lived long enough to see all of those things come to pass and was able to be the best Nana her six grandchildren could have asked for.

Eileen was, without a doubt, one of the strongest women I have ever known. I feel so honored and privileged that I have been able to call her my best friend, my sister, for so many years and that our friendship has lasted through it all.

As of Tuesday, December 5, 2017 – Eileen decided it was time to stop fighting and has returned Home to our Heavenly Father. Any donations you generously provide will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to her two sons for the expenses for her funeral services. We thank you. Her family thanks you. Her sons thank you. And we will honor her memory with all the love and caring that she showed us in this life.
