Aik Albao's Pancreatic Cancer Fund

Hello All,
I am starting this campaign with my mother to raise funds for her brother's cancer treatment. This is his story from my mom's point-of-view:
My eldest brother, Aik, has just been diagnosed in July 2017 with Pancreatic Cancer. At 53 years old, he is at the peak of his public service as a lawyer in our little town of Camarines Sur, Philippines. He is married and blessed with 5 children, with his two sons on their way to getting their Law degrees, following his footsteps, and his little girl still in kindergarten.
He is currently at St. Luke's Hospital in Taguig with a tumor growing in his pancreas blocking the bile duct. it is urgent that he gets treatment before the cancer spreads to his other organs. His family chose to have a procedure called Nano-Knife surgery, available to them only from Guangzhou, China. This procedure is less invasive and less life-damaging, yet has higher chances of succeeding than the alternative Whipple surgery. The only catch is that it will cost twice as much as the fees required for the Whipple surgery (about $42,000). This estimate is based on the cost of the medical treatment and travel to the hospital site. **Update** Please see campaign updates for full story - Due to the generosity and kindness of donors worldwide, we have been able to raise a good portion of my Uncle's treatment costs. What's left is to fund an additional pre-NanoKnife procedure, hospital and travel costs. Our new estimate is $15000. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us to get to this point!!
