My name is Ashley, and one of my besties is in need of your support. Meet Jacinda Asher, single mother to 5 beautiful children. She has been experiencing some major medical issues that have led to having to undergo a hysterectomy (old school way, laparoscopic isn't an option), potentially putting her out of her caregiver job for up to 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately, the company she works for does NOT offer any sort of short-term disability or aid for medical leave. This is most definitely not an elective surgery or one that could be put off due to the severity of what she has been enduring the last several months. After several ER visits and an ultimate referral to a specialist, it's been determined this surgery is the only available option for relief and ensured better health and healing for Jacinda. I am asking you to find it in your heart to donate what you can to ensure this need for surgery doesn't cost her the stability she's worked so hard to gain for the sake of her children. This woman has broken generational cycles of addiction, homelessness, and non-drivers, in turn passing those same ambitions on to her children. The oldest 2 boys, aged 17 and 15, are both working their first jobs, and the 15-year-old also recently obtained his driver's permit. The kids are not able to financially support the family, inclusive of their mom and 3 younger siblings, twin girls aged 9 and youngest son aged 4, nor should any child be placed in that role. Even though Jacinda did when it came to the care and aid of her younger siblings while growing up. We're breaking cycles, remember... She's been everyone's caregiver since childhood; now she needs some caregiving for herself. Let's support this amazing God-fearing woman with some peace of mind that she'll be okay while she recovers from this unfortunate but necessary surgery.
