Alisa Isayeva is a 8-year old Internally Displaced child from eastern Ukraine whom suffers from Arnold-Chiari I Syndrome. Alisa was diagnosed with Arnold-Chiari I Syndrome in June of 2017. Alisa also suffers from spinal scoliosis of the, currently of the 43rd degree.
From the onset of birth, Alisa has suffered numerous, severe medical complications. She has received treatment in both Ukraine and Turkey, however treatment measures have not been sufficient. Since Alisa's diagnosis of Arnold Chiari I Syndrome, it was determined that she must undergo decompression surgery. Decompression surgery will stop the evolution of Arnold Chiari I Syndrome by preventing further downward displacement of the lower portion of the brain into the upper part of the vertebral canal.
Unfortunately, there is not sufficient medical infrastructure in Ukraine that can perform the necessary procedure. After submitting numerous medical applications worldwide, Helios Kliniken in Erfurt, Germany has accepted Alisa as an international patient. Helios Kliniken is a leading clinic that specializes in neurosurgery , spinal surgery and orthopedics. The provisional estimate of decompression surgery is 19,841.00 Euro, which includes a 10-day recovery period. The neurosurgery at Helios Kilinken has stressed that it is imperative Alisa undergo the operation by the end of the year; otherwise her condition will only worsen, beyond correction.
On behalf of Alisa's family, I kindly ask you to consider donating to this campaign. Alisa has suffered greatly as a result of her condition... together we can give her a chance at a more normal childhood!
