Deux semaines plus tard, résonance magnétique de nuit, le 14 février 2026. Le lundi suivant (le 14 février), le docteur appelle à la maison à l’heure du souper et me dit : « Ouin… c’est la chirurgie, madame. » Mais là, j’ai au minimum 29 pilules par jour à prendre, et un an et demi d’attente pour voir l’orthopédiste. Ayoye, mon estomac ! Et je ne suis toujours pas soulagée, malgré les essais-erreurs pour changer les doses ou les molécules. Pour une chirurgie au privé, c’est environ 30 000 $. Vous vous doutez bien que je n’ai pas ces sous-là. Et je ne peux pas cesser de travailler tant que je n’ai pas de date pour l’opération, parce que je ne peux pas me le permettre. C’est ça, l’affaire. Même si j’arrêtais de travailler, je veux que mes comptes continuent d’être payés à temps, comme je l’ai toujours fait. S’il vous plaît, il n’y a pas de petit don — ça m’aiderait beaucoup à ne pas m’inquiéter financièrement. Déjà que je ne vais pas bien… Il faudrait que j’arrête mes ménages, mais je ne peux pas cesser de travailler sans un petit coussin. S’il vous plaît, je ne demande jamais d’aide, mais là, j’ai vraiment besoin de vous. Je ne peux plus continuer à souffrir comme présentement. Je dors assise, j’ai des spasmes musculaires jour et nuit.
