The words spoken by another child, Caleb, when Shawn told him why Aiden was staying at the Ronald McDonald house. He makes a very good point.
Aiden Struck is the adorable 3 year old only child of Shawn and Jasmine Struck, a young family living in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada.
On April 24th our nephew Aiden was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He had a couple of small bumps in his leg that tests had not previously been able to determine the cause, so he was sent down to Vancouver for a biopsy, which quickly pointed to cancer.
Aiden will be needing to go for more tests/scans and be undergoing Chemotherapy treatments, and the doctors say this is the beginning of a three year journey. He is the sweetest, brightest, happiest little dude and all of our hearts are completely broken.
Any donated funds will go towards their expenses (including regular 4+ hour travel for treatments and associated costs including extra time off work as needed) so they can hopefully focus on their family throughout this difficult period. We want to support Shawn, Jasmine and Aiden in any way we can during what is going to be an incredibly hard and trying time for them, and any help that you could give would be forever appreciated.
We would really like to help their family to get through this - financially and emotionally. No one is under any obligation to donate at all, your love, prayers, and support is enough and truly appreciated. However, if you are in a position to help financially that would make a huge difference. A contribution of any amount is helpful - $5 or $500 - it all adds up. You can make a one time contribution now or you can make a monthly contribution to assist with ongoing expenses. We will be keeping this campaign going until Aiden is fully recovered.
