Aida's Second Album

When I decided to record my debut album back in 2014, it was your undeniably generous support that made the dream come to fruition. We got to recording in December 2014, not knowing at all where it was all going to go. Jeremy, Jacqueline, Bryan, Amirhossein, Tim, and I got together for 6 days; I put down the backbone of the songs, the musicians brought them to life with their beautiful ideas; Tim recorded and mixed professionally yet humbly; and none of this… none of this would have been possible without your generous support. You believed in us. I am not lying when I say I did not believe it was going to happen. The gratitude I have for you is a daily practice and a humbling one at that. Thank you for inspiring me to continue.

I have decided to do it again.
Independently.

The songs are almost there. I am steering more and more clear of doing cover songs. I do write lyrics quite a bit but I am too attached to perfecting them. I want to give you more of a taste of my own work but this album will have a few re-interpretations of others’ songs as well. So if you like, stick with me as I develop more and write more and more of my own songs.
