Aidan's Diabete's Fund

In 2014, my son, Aidan, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  It has been a series of constant adjustments ever since.  For the first 2 years, we treated his condition with daily doses of "long-acting" insulin and meal-time insulin.  It has been a roller coaster ride between high and low blood sugar levels.  Our main concern is that consistently high blood sugar levels will result in a variety of long term negative consequences.  The most obvious remedy for this is to get him on an insulin pump system.  We recently figured out that we could get Aidan on one of the best systems out there. We ordered it and a top of the line continuous glucose monitoring system.  The two combined are the closest "they" have gotten to an actual artificial pancreas.  Since being on the pump, Aidan's blood sugar levels have leveled out and he has dropped his A1C by over 1 whole point!(this is very good!)  The problem is that we expected this whole system to be delivered to us for under $1,000.  Recently, we found out that the actual cost is going to be closer to $3000!  Thankfully, the pump company has been gracious enough to get us on a payment plan.  It has been very difficult to afford the costs associated with the pump payments, as well as an additional $114/month for the disposable supplies associated with the pump.
          If possible, I would like to try and raise some funds to assist with paying off of the pump and continuous glucose monitor, as well as help paying for some of the supplies that are crucial for keeping the pump active in the role of keeping Aidan's quality of life at a level where he can live life as "normally" as possible.
