Aid Tyler's Journey to Overcome Severe Injuries

Tyler is a wonderful young man that is 16 years old. He is a senior this year! Yes that’s right he is two years ahead of things!!! He’s already taken the ACTs and SATs making almost perfect scores. He was set to start taking college classes in January. His hobbies are coding, working out, sports, learning new things and hanging with friends. He’s a very kindhearted, compassionate, funny, ambitious, adventurous, generous and thoughtful young man. He was enjoying working his first job too. He is the middle child of six siblings. His mother is a very dedicated and hard working single mother. All six of her children live with her. Half being young adults. Is a parent’s job ever really done!!! While riding with friends back home on November 16 they had a horrible car wreck. Tyler was in critical condition at the scene. Once at the hospital the trauma escalated with him having seizures. The seizures caused him to break teeth, severely bite his tongue in two places and bite/ cut his lip. His continued injuries are pretty serious. He has a three inch skull fracture, two broken vertebras in his neck, stitches in multiple places on his face ranging from two inches to five inches in length with many requiring internal and external sutures. He has to wear a neck brace for a minimum of eight weeks. His ongoing struggles with dizziness, being lightheaded, unstable standing, trouble walking more than a few steps, going to the bathroom on his own, lying down and eating make the basics very difficult. Right now Tyler desperately needs a new full bed with lots of padding, firm and fluffy pillows, a comfortable and soft edged neck brace, assistant devices for walking, standing and getting up from bed, he needs an extended bathtub friendly shower chair and many other things to help him in his daily life. He needs so many other basic things. He’s struggling mentally with his planned future not happening after all his hard work, his lost job, his best friends being hurt and his daily life difficulties now. His family is helping him the best they can but they’ve never been through anything this horrific. I’m asking for help with whatever you can do for this young man and his family. Please help me improve his quality of life and alleviate some of his struggles. We greatly appreciate anything to help. Thank you kindly for reading and sharing his story.
