<div>hi, my name is carly and my sister is michelle, we are sadly writing this because our mom toniann towell had a stroke on thursday July 25th. our mom was air lifted to jersey shore medical center and had to get an emergency surgery to open up 2 blockages one in her carotid artery and the other in her brain. luckily they were able to do this within the necessary time period which is the biggest blessing that was able to turn a major stroke into a smaller stroke in her brain. she does have a small amount of damage to the brain but thank god there is no bleeding. she’s making great progress but having trouble speaking and getting her words out, lifting her right arm, walking, etc. she will have a long road to recovery, and unfortunately does not have health insurance. this is an issue because we need to get her the proper care immediately after she is discharged from the hospital within the next few days. she’s going to need to stay in an acute care rehabilitation center. these places can range from $1,000-$3,000 a day. she will need to be there for about a week, or possibly longer. from there we will need to bring her to rehab regularly or have them come to her home. her medicines are going to be up to $400.. and she will not be able to work for a while which will also hurt her and her beloved husband mark financially. we are worried that without this rehabilitation center &amp; therapy our mom might not progress as best as she can. i am not a person to ask for help or anything at all, myself and my family are going to help with her finances as much as we possibly can but this is going to be a lifetime of care &amp; any amount will help. we can’t even begin to express our gratitude to anyone that can contribute in any way possible, even just sharing this. our mom is always doing for others, always lending a helping hand, she’s the most positive and up beat person i know, and is my best friend. i love her so much, as does everyone that meets her. i hope the kindness she has always shared with the world will come back to her now in this situation. please keep her in your prayers and send love and good vibes our way.
