<div>Lucas and Charli Turner won a trip to Hawaii this year to get away from it all and attend a plumbing conference in Maui. They decided to stay an extra week and have their kids meet them on the Big Island for that second week. All was well, until it wasn't. Charli, Lucas and kids went for a hike along the beautiful Hawaii coast on a lava bed reef.

<div>Waves were coming and all of a sudden, Charli was looking at her shin bone, blood and flesh. She had been knocked over by the wave and sliced her leg open. This wasn't just any laceration. A cesspool of bacteria, the lava rock had embedded itself inside her leg. Two ambulance rides, two hospitals, two surgeries (so far) to re-attach her muscle and clean the wound, and Charli is in to week three of her Hawaii 'vacation'.

<div>As we speak, she is laying in a hospital bed being pumped full of antibiotics so she can become stable enough to come home. She is awake and alert, but immobile as the wound was so extensive she cannot travel yet.

<div>Charli was admitted to the hospital the first day, had surgery and stayed two more days. She was released but promptly landed herself back in with a massive infection and a second surgery. The only way she can fly is to get the infection down with the help of a wound vac and the promise of excellent medical care once she lands on the mainland.

<div>She will likely have an extensive road ahead as daily wound treatment daily is in her future and the future unknown.

<div>Lucas and Charli Turner have been so generous to so many in their community and it's time to give back. They are facing hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of medical bills, not to mention loss of wages for both of them. They have faith that God is in the middle of this and has a greater plan then they do.
