Hi everyone! We are the crew of Montage, a short film following two young women (Maya and Celine) over the span of one day, after Celine reveals that she is moving away, permanently. With New York City as the backdrop, Montage explores the importance of female friendship in our lives and what it means to lose a best friend.
As we are students at Barnard, a historically women's college, we wanted to showcase the strong bonds created between young women and nonbinary people as they approach adulthood. During a time in which voices of minority communities are being severely censored and suppressed, it is our mission to showcase the incredible power of diverse filmmaking. As a female and nonbinary team, we are excited to tell this story and confident that it will resonate with a larger audience.
Because we are student production, our resources are limited, which means we need extra support to make Montage the best it can be. That’s why we’re incredibly grateful for any contributions, and we’re excited to share the final film with you—made possible through your generosity.
Edit: Thank you all so much for your previous donations, we have moved into post-production and are looking to fund an additional $500 for film festival submissions. Each film submission costs approximately $50, and these are crucial in helping Montage reach a wider audience. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for any support!
Our sincerest gratitude,
The Montage team
