As some of you may have heard, Jeffrey (my cousin) has tragically died unexpectedly at 29 years old. He was charming, witty, funny, goofy, and loving, and we are all heartbroken over such a senseless loss at such a young age.

His mother Stacey (my Aunt) lost her father and her son on the same day. Stacey has been out of work since September to be a round-the-clock caretaker for both her parents. My grandmother, who recently had hip surgery, needed full-time care, and my grandfather, who was recently put on hospice, also needed round-the-clock care. She is now set to plan two funerals. Two. That is a heavy burden to bear for such an amazing woman.

I wanted to start this GoFundMe as a way to support her through this unimaginable time. Having most of our family in NY and them being in Georgia, Jeffrey in Missouri, distance and travel make it an expensive feat. I want to be able to assist her with travel, funeral costs, rent, support, food, and make it so she does not have to run back to work anytime soon. It’s the holiday season, which makes it even heavier. I want to support her in any way that we can because we all love her and Samantha so much. We can’t erase the pain, but we can help financially.
