The procedure left him with 40 staples in his abdomen, a week-long stay in the hospital, and a long road to recovery ahead.

Due to a meager severance, she has not qualified for unemployment benefits in the last 10.5 months. Times are hard, but like most people, the Rushings relied on savings and credit to bridge the gap as best they could.
