Pyper’s a mother of three, pregnant with her fourth that’s been diagnosed with placenta previa, placenta accreta, and placenta percreta, meaning her placenta has grown through her uterine wall and into her bladder. There are no hospitals in Southwest Missouri equipped to deal with the severity of the situation, so she’s been relocated to KU Medical Center in Kansas City until baby Shelby is born (hours away from children, family, and friends). When she undergoes surgery that day, she will be having a cesarean section, abdominal hysterectomy, and bladder reconstruction surgery depending on the damage done. Shelby will be born via C-section the week of Christmas if no further problems arise, and the doctors estimate at least a one-month NICU stay for her.

This is obviously was not counted in her expenses. She’s a traveling Registered Nurse. She’s given so much to her family and community. I hope to raise some money for all these expenses while she is in the hospital and not able to work. Travel expenses, insurance, car payments, anything her kids might need, hotel rooms for her kids to stay with her on weekends they are able to travel.

This is going to be a very difficult and long road for her and her family mentally, physically, and financially.
