<div>On Sunday, June 22, a combination of an electrical malfunction and human error caused a brief kitchen fire. Thank God, we had JUST located and set aside a fire extinguisher that came with the home when I bought it in 2009! We were able to extinguish the flames before it caused irreparable damage, but the aftermath has left me unable to live in a normal manner.

<div>The bulk of the damage isn't structural but has affected my kitchen. The stove, refrigerator, cabinets, counter and ceiling are either destroyed or damaged. EVERYTHING within the kitchen and living room is covered in an inch of soot and ash. Black scorching scarred my ceiling walls and gutted 4 cabinets completely.

<div>I had to relocate my 11 year old son to his paternal grandma's house until further notice. We had just finished remodeling his bedroom last week and I was looking foward to spending the bulk of his summer vacation with him. The faster I am able to utilize fire restoration services, the faster I can bring him home.

<div>I work with Alzheimer's &amp; dementia patients at a local facility, and my job is rewarding but extremely demanding. Until I can replace my stove and refrigerator, I am unable to prepare meals or store food. Like most of us, I'm only a paycheck away from being broke. <strong>I have no way to recover and repair my home without help from anyone who can contribute. Please help in any way - services and donated items are also greatly appreciated!! </strong>
