On January 16th I became sick and went to the DR with influenza A running high temperatures a few days later I had a 104.6 temperature and couldn't stand on my foot. I went to the emergency room and they admitted me into the hospital. I ended up having MRSA that turned into staph infection that went through my foot and spread through my lungs and heart valve and also got abscess on spleen, kidney and liver. I was taken to Sanford in Bismarck and with antibiotics the staph infection was gone. I was released from the hospital on February 10th and sent home with a PICC line doing antibiotics from home 3 times a day for 6 weeks. I am able to go back to work with limitations and less time. There are many medical bills also loss of wages. The antibiotics at home are $400 per day.
