We just lost my Dad 3 weeks ago to after a lengthy illness. Now in the last 10 days my elderly mom, who was already on a very fixed income, has been hit with severe plumbing problems for which she doesn't have the funds to have the necessary repairs done...and they need done sooner rather than later. My family doesn't have the funds available either due to also being on a fixed income ourselves or we would gladly donate every dime needed without question.
