My name is Michael Larson. I am a husband of 25 years. I am a father of a 21-year-old daughter who still lives at home, and a 16-year-old son who is currently attending high school. I am a Non-Emergency Medical Transport driver and work an average of 50 hours a week when I am available. I drive people to the doctor; mainly, I do wheelchair clients because I drive a wheelchair van.
I recently was diagnosed with IGA Vasculitis, so I guess my body is attacking the blood vessels, and the small blood vessels are dying. As a result, I end up with wounds all over my legs and feet. The skin is not too healthy; turns out if you don't get blood someplace, that area begins to die. I am seeing a dermatologist, a rheumatologist, and I am going to the wound clinic now twice a week. I suffer from some pain, and this means I am medicated. The result is that I am unable to return to work at this time, and probably not for at least 2 months and possibly longer.
I am looking for help with my living expenses and paying my medical bills. Lots of appointments and treatment costs, which my insurance covers part of, but I am still on the hook for some of those costs. Plus, I have a mortgage and so forth.
