You may remember Melissa from her 20 years at the downtown Oyster Bar, where she always greeted us with a big smile. A three time widow, Melissa has supported and cared for herself throughout retirement but is no longer able.

<div>Over the past 2 years Melissa has drained all her savings and retirement funds and is at the mercy of government assistance. Her current facility bills are now up to $56,000 past due, as her Medicaid hangs in limbo under current administration changes.
