<div>This same man was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (aggressive bone marrow cancer), and it has been awe-inspiring to see him use his same energy, charm, and joking-manner to fight through it. He drew strength and hope from his own positive outlook to life and gave us all the reminder that, even when things are tough, finding a way to laugh through it could keep you sane.

<div>Unfortunately, the battle isn’t over yet. While my uncle continues to fight for his health, his medical expenses continue to grow. No one should have to choose between paying their mortgage or paying for insurance. And no one should be put in a position to feel that both their life and home are in such precarious conditions due to their financial circumstances.

He’s selling his home and attempting to lower all other expenses as much as possible to continue affording his insurance.
