Help Marie and Her 3 Dogs Displaced After the SoCal Fires
Friends,
My dearest friend Marie, along with her three pups, has been displaced from her home in Altadena due to the fires. Her house was situated in the heart of the burn zone above New York Drive, which has forced her from her home and has separated her from her dog family for at least a month, likely longer—until she can find a stable situation for all of them. These fires have left Marie without a home, without work, and with no clear timeline for when she’ll return to some semblance of normalcy.
Marie is one of the most generous and kindhearted people I know—always the first to help someone in a vulnerable situation. But now she's in that situation herself and is the last person to ask for help. It took much convincing to finally let me set this up for her.
My best friend needs your support to help bridge the gap between displacement and finding a safe secure situation.
Anything helps—even sharing this with friends. Please donate according to what makes sense for you, and know that your support means everything to Marie and her dog family.
WHO AM I?
Marie and I have known each other since college and have been close for more than two decades. We're each other’s emergency contact and lifeline. I would do anything for this remarkable human and her dog pack, but like so many, in this unique situation, her needs are well beyond what I can help with alone, and she doesn’t have a family to fall back on. Funds from this campaign will go directly toward essentials for Marie and for her nonhuman companions.
With eternal gratitude,
Christian
