<div>This is not just about one raid or one community. It’s part of a broader neocolonial project unfolding across Patagonia — where Indigenous lands are being militarized, surveilled, and sold off to private and foreign interests.

<div>Recent agreements between Argentina and Israel — including the presence of Israeli companies like Mekorot (national water utility) — raise serious concerns about control over vital water sources in Mapuche territory. The same regions under violent state repression are also home to freshwater reserves and forests rich in biodiversity, which companies seek to exploit for fracking, mining, or privatization.

<div>Mapuche communities are being targeted because they defend their ancestral lands and water from this extractivist agenda. Reports have surfaced of Israeli soldiers disguised as tourists, advanced satellite equipment used in remote areas, and aggressive military-style policing against Indigenous people.

<div>This repression has only increased under President Javier Milei and Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres, who openly use language of war and deploy anti-terror tactics against peaceful communities.
