This fundraiser was set up in hope to Help Bobby and Lynda Buce
On September 17th, after feeling ill Lynda was taken to the hospital by her husband. She was admitted, and on September 21st, she was released to go home with unknown diagnosis. However, on the morning of September 22nd, she was having difficulty breathing, vomiting, barely able to stand or walk, and seemed very confused. She was rushed to the nearest hospital in Mena, Arkansas via ambulance. Upon arrival, she was in critical condition and twice coded in the ER. The doctors were able to revive her both times, and intubated her to provide oxygen to keep her stabilized. She was medevaced to CHI ST Vincent in Hot Springs, AR where she was placed in ICU care.
She spent over a week unconscious with her blood sugar and pressure dangerously high, and kidneys showing sign of failure. Doctors tried various treatments to stabilize her, keeping her on a ventilator and performed a tracheotomy on October 9th. She underwent an angiogram and had two stents placed. Lynda remains in ICU on a ventilator, showing some improvement but battling severe pneumonia and heart disease.
Her husband Bobby travels 55 miles each way (110 miles round trip) daily to be at her bedside. Both Lynda and Bobby are on disability and have very little savings. This GoFundMe was created to help with the anticipated high bills. Their family, friends, and church have been supportive, but additional help is needed during this challenging time.
