<div>My name is Amandine and my brother is Luc. We are the owners and operators of your local favorite donut shop, Best Donuts and Kolaches in Moody, TX off of 317 Hwy with the big pink tractor tire! Our shop is a staple of the community and we are so proud part of it! Moody has been nothing but supportive, welcoming and loving toward, not just our business, but our family as a whole!

<div>This GoFundme is for my brother's unforeseen recent health incident that disrupted our lives not just our family but also the breakfast routine of many of our faithful customers! And due to the circumstances we had to shut down the shop since then.

<div>On, Saturday November 2nd of 2024, Luc, our dear friends, my niece and her boyfriend and myself were having lunch at The Common Wealth in Temple and played pickleball! we had a great time but Luc complained of a really bad headache and proceeded to head back home about 5 minutes before the rest of us.
</div>
<div>On my way home I noticed my brother's car on the side of the road in the ditch and two other car had stopped to help and call 911.
</div>
<div>I asked my niece if that was my brother on the side of the road, my niece confirmed that she notice the "Transformer" sign the on the side of the car, that was then that I turned around back.
</div>
<div>Luc was sitting on the side of the ditch when I arrived on scene and I quickly had my niece and her boyfriend help my brother up to my car. One of the gentleman assumed that my brother was drunk and said " He can't leave yet, the police is coming" while the other gentleman was on the phone with dispatch I told him they need to send EMS ASAP because he wasn't responding as usual. I knew something was not right there.

<div>Long story short, Luc suffered a stroke while driving and was rushed to Scott and White Temple, where they found bleeding in his brain the size of a tennis ball. As soon as they received signed consent from myself to proceed with the craniotomy. Dr. Reed and Dr. Feng got him into the OR.
</div>
<div>After 4 hours in the OR the neurosurgeon came back to let us know the surgery was a success!
</div>
<div>Luc is currently in the hospital still but out of the ICU.
</div>

<div>This GoFundMe is to help pay off the medical bills, medical supplies, rehabilitation, possibly home health care, and since he will be self pay, no longer working and he will be looking at a long road to recovery from 6 months to a year.
