<div>Help sweet little Luca James on his journey with Hemophilia. 20 month old Luca was recently diagnosed with severe Hemophilia, a rare genetic blood disorder that causes easy bruising and rapid bleeding. This unexpected diagnosis has turned life upside down for his loving family as they begin a long journey of medications, injections, and genetic trials to help manage his condition. Luca’s mom, Mercedes, is currently expecting a baby girl in early December and will soon need to undergo her own series of genetic tests, along with the newborn, to better understand how this condition may affect their future.  She is a dedicated full time teacher who has been carefully saving her sick days for maternity leave so she could continue to provide for her family. Sadly, those days are now being used to take Luca to frequent appointments with specialists, hospitals and therapists. Between medical bills, copays, travel expenses, and the need for safety accommodations at home, the family is facing financial challenges they never could have imagined. Creating a secure and safe environment for a child with Hemophilia means adapting everyday life in ways that most never have to think about, also assuring emergency care is always within reach.  This fundraiser has been created to help ease the growing financial burden as they navigate the many medical, emotional and practical challenges that lie ahead. Every donation big or small helps provide peace of mind, stability and support for a family doing everything they can to give Luca the safe and happy life he deserves.
