My wife has always loved horses. As a little girl, she drew pictures of them, and as she got older, she started to ride them. From trail rides to barrel races, her horses always came first.
A few years ago, she decided to go into business for herself, which was wonderful for our family, but our income was cut, so we had to back off of the horse life we had come to love. Recently, we decided we would try and get back into it, and she fell in love with a young mare. “Lottie” is her name. Lottie has all the potential for my wife to get back in the saddle again. She was sent off to a trainer to get a foundation put on her for 2 months.
One day, she gets a call that Lottie is lame on her hind leg, so she says to bring her back home to us. After Lottie was returned, we found out she had a cut on her right hind leg and she is fighting an infection due to the conditions she was staying in. Since we just got back into this lifestyle, we have exhausted emergency funds to cover vet bills, extra feed, and anything we can find at the supply store to help her heal. Unfortunately, she is not out of the woods yet and we don’t know what bills are yet to come as well as the debt we’ve already accumulated.
My wife deserves a chance to show this sweet girl a good life at least, and possibly a good ride. After the sleepless nights, tears she’s shed, and worry’s unspoken she needs some kind of peace in her efforts.
The amount I requested is just to cover the debt we have now. I wouldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you for your time in reading this. God bless.
