My name is Darlene Manglona. I am raising funds to help my sister, Julyne, with her medical expenses. Julyne recently had an emergency major open surgery on her kidneys to remove numerous staghorn kidney stones. A portion of her rib was removed in order to reach her kidney and to remove the stones, making recovery progress longer and painful.

Julyne recently started a new job; unfortunately, she has no leave to assist with medical expenses.

Her healing and recovery journey began in 2023 when her doctors diagnosed her with hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Since then, she has spent a year trying to manage hypertension and diabetes with multiple tests and a medicinal regimen. Since her healing journey, she has suffered two transient ischemic attacks, undergone an emergency hysterectomy, bowel obstruction, and numerous procedures conducted on her kidneys. There are still ongoing tests that need to be conducted as well as treatment.

Losing both our parents in 2021 and 2022, she has only dreamt of ensuring time with her spouse, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Our loss has taught us that life is fleeting and that we should never take life for granted. Time is the most valuable thing we have, and we can never get it back besides the memories we get.
