In Loving Memory of Grammy – Supporting Her Final Goodbye
On May 8th, our beloved grandmother—our Grammy, Joyce Herrin—passed away due to complications from pneumonia. She was the heart of our family, a woman full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Saying goodbye so suddenly has left a deep ache in our hearts, especially for her children—my mom and my two uncles—who are now facing the unimaginable: grieving their mother while also preparing to say goodbye to their father, who is currently in hospice care battling advanced lung cancer.
Joyce was a poet and a pianist. She was an artist in every sense—someone who could turn emotions into words and music. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith shined through in everything she did. She loved loudly, gave freely, and left a legacy of grace and compassion that we will carry with us always.
In her final days, Grammy was never alone. Her children dropped everything—jobs, routines, financial stability—to be by her side, holding her hand and making sure she felt nothing but love and comfort. Their sacrifice was beautiful, but it's left them with a heavy burden.
We are raising funds to help cover the cost of Grammy’s funeral and memorial services. Every dollar will go directly to her children, who are carrying the weight of these expenses during one of the most heartbreaking times of their lives.
This isn’t just a request for help with funeral costs—it’s a call for love, for community, and for support during a time of profound loss. If you are able to give, even a small amount, it will bring comfort and relief to a grieving family that has already given so much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for reading, for sharing, for donating, and for surrounding our family with love when we need it most.
With deepest gratitude,
