<div>We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency. Our beloved friend and community hero, Bertgon Volunteer Firefighter Jimmy Mongold, was struck by a falling tree in March 2024, while courageously battling some of the most devastating forest fires our county has seen in recent years. As a dedicated volunteer firefighter, Jimmy has always been the first to respond to the call of duty, putting hia life on the line to protect our homes, wildlands, and loved ones.

<div>During the recent wildfire, Jimmy sustained significant injuries that have left them in need of extensive medical care and rehabilitation. While we are grateful that Jimmy is alive, the road to recovery will be long and challenging. As a volunteer, Jimmy does not receive the same benefits as full-time firefighters, and the costs of medical bills, therapy, and lost wages are quickly mounting.

<div>This is where we, as a community, can come together to support someone who has always been there for us. We are raising funds to help cover Jimmy's medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and any necessary home modifications to aid in their recovery. Every dollar counts and will go directly to ensuring that Jimmy and his family can focus on healing without the added stress of financial burden.
