This morning, we learned that Vito, Juan, Silvia, Andres, and Roberto's siblings, Edmundo and Rufina, were hit by a car in Mexico. They were driving their moto taxi to pick up the bread they sell each morning when they were suddenly hit. The person responsible then fled the scene. Rufina and Edmundo are currently in the hospital. They will both be fine, but Rufina had to have surgery on her knee. Their current hospital bill is $2,000 and does not include surgery costs. They will also need to recover and not be able to work right away. Without their help selling food each day, their mom's income will also be affected. Their main form of transportation, the moto taxi, was also destroyed. Moto taxis cost around $7,000 to replace. Any amount folks are able to contribute to their recovery and loss of income and transportation is greatly appreciated.

Iban conduciendo su mototaxi para recoger el pan que venden cada mañana cuando de repente fueron atropellados. Acto seguido, el responsable se dio a la fuga.
